Background.

“I was born in Queens, New York City; my Mom is first-generation Irish-American, and my Dad is Irish. We moved to Ireland when I was around five, and I was brought up in Sligo on the west coast of Ireland during my formative and adolescent years.”

“After my primary and secondary education, I attended the National College of Art and Design (NCAD) in Dublin, receiving a BA in Fine Art where I specialised in Printmaking.”

“Over the next years I spent time learning mew professions, namely working three years as a construction worker. It was important for me to get more life experience and to get out there, to grow my potential by expanding my skillset. I also lived in New York for a period of time to experience the other aspect of my character, and to conduct personal research into my identity.”

“My horizons then broadened further by living in Wroclaw, Poland; where I taught English and expanded my network, meeting a slew of interesting characters with new perspectives.”

Let’s just say I was taking a Sophie Calle approach to expanding myself before expanding my career.

I now attend the NCAD MFA, where I pursue an multidisciplinary practice involving sculptural work, performance, video, textile, and more.
